Investment-Quality Farmland: Argentina Pampas region ranks with U.S. Midwest on Short List of World’s Most Fertile Soils

There are twelve types of soil taxonomy in the world. Of the twelve, the most naturally fertile soils are mollisols, which are predominantly found in only four places on Earth: in the U.S., the Pampas region of Argentina, the steppes of Ukraine and Russia, and in areas of Northeast China.

Global distribution of mollisols is illustrated on this map .

A quick process of elimination, taking into consideration the political climate supporting private property rights, highlights the U.S. Midwest and Argentina’s unique attractiveness with respect to investment-quality farmland investment.  Realizing this, Terraqua has forged strategic alliances with strategic partners on the ground in the U.S. Midwest and Argentina, to source direct, leased farmland investments with current and sustainable yields, proven operators and management in place.

If you want to discuss farmland investment in the U.S. Midwest or the Pampas region of the Southern Cone, please email or call me at 303-900-4226
